FAQs

What’s the difference between IV Code and all the other IV therapy facilities?

Along with any new therapy’s popularity, comes the potential for misuse. So while other IV therapy providers simply allow you to pick from a menu of services, we offer pre-testing to inform us as to the medical need for IV therapy. Our tests are simple, which allows us to provide the proper medical approach to therapy. We treat based on medicine, not guesswork

Are IV infusions safe?

Yes infusions are very safe and such treatments are widely used in medical facilities all over the world. There is always a slight risk of allergic reaction, however we thoroughly screen all patients and monitor closely during every infusion. Should any unexpected reaction occur, our well-trained medical staff is more than equipped to handle it.

Are there any potential reactions to receiving an IV while on other medications?

There are a few medications that interact with IV therapy. We conduct a comprehensive patient history in order to make sure none of our customers are on medications, which could have a potentially negative interaction.

Do IVs cause bruising or other side effects?

Although not common, bruises or hematomas can occur when blood collects under the skin from IV puncture. Typically these effects usually resolve without complication within a few hours or days. Major side effects are extremely rare although occasionally people report cooling of the arm or a metallic taste in the mouth, both of which are normal and temporary.

Is this process painful?

While many find needles to be relatively painless, others will find this process slightly painful. While in no way is this procedure excruciating, we do have ways of making the process more comfortable. Feel free to inquire. We can utilize a topical numbing agent and great care to make any discomfort barely noticeable.

How long does it take?

Most of the IV drips take anywhere between 15-90 minutes during which time a patient can recline, watch TV or a movie, sleep, read, listen to music, or just relax. Some high dose drips can take 2-3 hours but we will let you know ahead of time if you require one.

Who benefits most from IV Treatments?

The vitamins and minerals in our IVs will help enhance cellular rejuvenation and recovery. Whether you are feeling under the weather, battling the effects of altitude, fatigued from overexertion, or worn down from a night out on the town, IV CODE can help.

How often should you get IV therapy?

Depending on your state of wellness, nutritional demands, and hydration status, you may see dramatic effects immediately. People who get regular IVs will feel less pronounced effects as their bodys begin to obtain optimal balance. In healthy individuals, IVs can safely be used on a daily basis but realistically; most people do not need daily therapy. A typical dosage is usually weekly or bi-weekly, but your IV therapy should always be tailored to your needs.
